Today’s member spotlight features BitCutter Studios is a Saskatchewan-based video game studio founded in 2017 by Taylor Eichhorst and Michael Berger. BitCutter builds games for PC and VR. Their most recent game, Groove Gunner, was nominated for VR Game of the Year in the 2021 Canadian Game Awards.
In the last few years the team has grown to include two new members, Gabriel Martinez and Chris Madden.
At the Regina Expo (August 20-21) they will be demoing a new game currently in development, “Spin Kick Ninjas”. This game is a top-down, action-packed game that mixes classic retro gameplay with new game mechanics and genres. Expo attendees will be able to try the game and try to put a top score on the leaderboard. Attendees will also be able to purchase BitCutter’s existing games at an expo-exclusive discount.
