About Meagan:

Meagan Byrne is a Âpihtawikosisân (Métis of Ontario) new media artist and game designer born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She has been creating digital interactive works since 2014 and uses her work to explore questions of cultural belonging, the Indigenization of media and the future of Indigenous language and culture. Meagan was the first Digital + Interactive Coordinator at the imagineNATIVE and was the creator of the iNDigital Space at the Festival. She is the current founder and lead Mechanic Narrative Designer at Achimostawinan Games.
