New Media Manitoba – Unreal Engine Instructor Position
New Media Manitoba has an exciting new role for an instructor to teach real-time workflows using Unreal Engine. The successful candidate will manage our workforce development activities related to Unreal Engine, design curricula, teach courses and bring studio projects to life.
This is a unique opportunity if you are endlessly curious about virtual production, performance capture and video game development and have a passion for instruction. Help us train Manitoba’s workforce for the jobs of the future.

- Deliver and guide students and studios through certified Unreal Engine curriculum
- Facilitate learning by leading lessons and hands-on projects
- Mentor students in research-based or industry-driven projects
- Manage projects and deliverables based on curriculum guidelines
- Have a working knowledge of technology and a desire to learn more about XR-specific development tools
- Be an “an evergreen learner” as the industry tools and software are constantly evolving
- Create a learning environment that fosters creativity, open ideas, and a safe place to experiment, learn and collaborate
- Look for opportunities to enhance soft-skill learning within the curriculum
- Setting clear/transparent expectations and instructions while providing guidance, and academic support
- Objectively evaluating students’ work/progress and providing formative /summative feedback when needed
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Post-Secondary certificate, diploma, degree (or equivalent) in a related field (preferred).
- Ability to lead workshops, lectures, seminars, and explain technical concepts.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to be creative and find solutions to problems, or foresee future issues

- Be able to constantly learn to stay up to date with the technology changes in the industry
