In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements and budgets; reporting on monthly operational metrics; planning and supervision of the external audits; preparation of corporate tax returns; and contributing to corporate finance responsibilities. Responsibilities:

  • Banking – deposits, online payment processing, bank reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable/ Payable reporting
  • GST and PST reconciliations/remittances
  • Lead process improvement to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate monthly close process and ensure accuracy of monthly financial reporting package
  • Assisting with board/investor reporting
  • Monthly variance reports as compared to budget
  • Responsible for operational reporting metrics and analysis of variances to targets
  • Establish and monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and monthly commissions
  • Assisting with government grant program applications/reporting and the SR&ED claim
  • Additional Accounting Manager duties as required

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a Certified Professional Accountant
Strong knowledge of ASPE accounting standards and their application
Experience with QBO is an asset but not required
Start-up/ SaaS Company experience is a bonus
Ability to work independently
